Aesthetics Clinic Solihull & BIrmingham. Skin Rejuvenation

Dynamic Regenerative Medicine is a musculoskeletal and Aesthetics Clinic in Solihull & BIrmingham offering medical aesthetic skin treatments in skin rejuvenation, scar treatment and hair loss treatment / rejuvenation.

Dynamic Regenerative Medicine specifically focuses on Rejuvenation via the use of Regenerative Medicine. Therefore, we commonly adopt a treatment know as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) at our aesthetic clinics.

PRP Treatment (Platelet Rich Plasma) Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, also known as Plasma Treatment utilises the bodies own healing powers to stimulate new tissue growth, giving your skin a healthy, more youthful appearance, without the use of synthetics. A very small amount of the clients own blood is taken, and the plasma is then separated from the rest of the blood, by specific centrifugation. Platelets are then extracted and concentrated. These concentrated platelets are then injected into the area of concern where the platelets then release their growth factors, which then in turn stimulate stem cells. PRP treatment is used to improve skin texture and tone and stimulate new collagen via a Regenerative process, helping reduce wrinkles and lines, tackle blemishes, improve scarring and restore a healthy, youthful glow. As we know, new collagen will improve elasticity and tone.

PRP Therapy is a total facial treatment and is used for the treatment of many areas of the face. Below are some of the specific areas that PRP Therapy targets.

What is Plasma?

Plasma is the clear liquid part of the blood, with the removal of the red blood cells, these have no particular use in this form of treatment. Plasma carries out many functions in the body including fighting diseases and promoting healing. During PRP treatment the plasma is used to suspend a high concentration of your own platelets. The blood is our reservoir of all the important bio-components we need to survive and repair. Why not take the good stuff (platelets in this particular case), and use them directly for clinical benefits in aesthetic treatments. This is what we do here at our aesthetic clinic in Solihull & BIrmingham.

What Are Platelets?

Other than blood clotting, platlets are very important cells in the blood that contain a high number of growth factors which are used to assist in healing injured tissue or damaged skin.  How does PRP work?

When the PRP is re-injected into the skin, growth factors are released by the platelets. This promotes healing and stimulates collagen production via stimulation and recruitment of stem cells. Collagen is found naturally in the body and is the foundation of a youthful appearance.

During the aging process free radical damage is the result of reduced elasticity within skin. Also, less collagen is produced resulting in decreased volume, lines and wrinkles. Through stimulating collagen production PRP helps to promote even skin tone, reduced scarring, improved skin texture resulting in healthy, hydrated skin, And what’s better it’s completely natural without the use of synthetics.

Benefits of PRP?

PRP is used in skin rejuvenations to improve skin texture and tone via a regenerative process of collagen which helps reduce wrinkles and lines, improve skin texture around the delicate eye area, tackle blemishes, improve scarring and restore a healthy glow. PRP Therapy process

Before During the consultation we will discuss your specific concern areas with you and your expectation and explain to you any risks that come with the treatment. Following this, and if you wish to continue with treatment a local anaesthetic numbing cream will be applied to the injection site, for 30 minutes before treatment to make the treatment for more comfortable for you.

Following this we will draw a small 20ml sample of your blood from your arm. we will then extract the platelets via centrifugation which will take approximately 10 minutes. During Once the numbing cream has taken effect your own platelet rich plasma is re-injected using a sterile micro needle. Multiple injections are required to give an over-all improvement to the area of concern.

After We performed many of these procedures and can honestly say less than 5% of people suffer any bruising. More so, slight redness which fades after a day. Most side effects should resolve within a few days and most people feel confident enough to return to work the following day. The immediate results of PRP therapy is volume and regenerative results begin after a number of weeks treatment as collagen production increases. Patienice is required during this treatment.

How long does PRP therapy last?

Following a full course of treatment (3 treatments at 4 week intervals) the results of PRP therapy can be expected to last up to 18 months. A one off treatment, can be expected to last for several months, however, we do recommend a course of treatment, as does the medical literature. Here at Dynamic Regenerative Medicine, we generally tend to follow the evidence-based literature rather than clinical guessing.

Who can not have PRP therapy?

Patients with abnormal platelet function, clotting disorders and chronic liver disease are not suitable for PRP therapy. It is therefore important to disclose any relevant medical histor during l your consultation.

Is PRP Therapy painful?

No. A light numbing cream is applied prior to treatment at our aesthetic clinic to make the process more comfortable. Most clients only experience mild discomfort which is the result of the injections and only temporary.

Are there any risks with PRP Therapy?

Because you are using your own blood with, with no added synthetics - side effects are minimal. The injection process may cause some bruising, mild swelling and tenderness as to be associated with any injection treatment. However, we use a microneedle, the smallest needle possible. As the platelets are the patients own there is no risk of transmissible diseases or allergic reactions. Infection risk is minimised by ensuring sterile technique and equipment.
